I got this for my grandson for Christmas I have an e-scooter myself his go about the same amount of distance before it needs to be charged again which is 4 MI also the longer you have the power on the battery wears down as well I know that's how my personal scooter is I don't know about this one and also I like the fact that it has a luminous light inside of the wheel so that if he's riding at night vehicles can see him or other people or pedestrian or vehicles can see him and he won't be so easily missed by moving targets so it ensures his safety well I love it also it only goes 7.5 mi not 10 miles or more like other scooters that's way too fast mines go 17 to 25 mph and if you want to stop there's no way but to use them hand mechanism and at that time it was like my third day of using the scooter and so I got dragged by the scooter so I was making sure that his scooter doesn't go that fast this is perfect he's going to love it
