I like the size and softness, but this rug hardly ever gets hot. I understand that this is to provide the cats with a small level of warmth; However, I have another cat warmer made from a different brand of hard plastic igloo that gets much warmer. I'm not sure if the gasket I received is just defective or not. I plan to return it but am still trying to decide if I want a replacement pad or just my money. I'm worried that the other one might be as bad as the one I'm holding and it's a bit of work to wrap it up and send it back after all. All I really know for sure is that this pillow is almost imperceptible even at the highest temperature. I bought this on sale for about $25 for my semi-feral street cat to have on our porch, but for some reason she doesn't go anywhere near him.
