Upgrade. A customer spoke about the smell of the apron. I have a pretty good sense of smell and couldn't detect any "foreign" smell. There was a smell of new fabric - I'm sure it will go away after washing, but I haven't washed mine yet. My old apron fell apart and I was looking for a new one. This one was a bit more expensive than the others, but I was hoping to trust the old adage that money and quality usually go hand in hand. In this case it was definitely correct. This is an adorable and well made apron. Pockets are nice and roomy. The fabric feels very comfortable and is very durable. It provides excellent coverage for my clothes. I was wondering why it doesn't have a standard collar. Now I know. Straps that go over the shoulder and then cross the back, like this one, are much more comfortable. Now that I'm wearing these, I realize that my old neck-covering aprons were putting constant and annoying pressure on my neck. I don't feel that pressure. The cross strap attached to this apron requires a little more effort than the older cross-neck variant, but it's definitely worth it. The stitching is much stronger than my apron, which fell apart. I may never need to buy another one again!
