I got my first new laptop in 8 years, an ill-fated Dell 7590 Windows 10. I had no idea a lot of laptops don't come with the ethernet port I've come to expect because her case is so thin . So, frustrated at first, I considered returning the laptop and after looking at other models, many if not most didn't have a wired port. So, then I discovered this device and tried it out. It supports plug and play for Windows 10. It comes with a driver disk, but no installation is required for Windows 10. Just plug it into a USB port and an Ethernet cable and you're good to go. for some time. When downloading data at a speed of 1-2 MB/s, the data simply stopped after about 45 minutes. I know this because I was monitoring ethernet throughput with a displayed graph showing data rate versus time and it just went flat. I disconnected and reconnected and the date started again but after a while it stopped again. The same on the 3rd try. I didn't bother installing their drivers, just sent the device back.
