I don't understand what kind of dust collectors are made by companies that want to keep their property. Buying accessories that are compatible with parts from other manufacturers is a real challenge. That's what I wanted! This is a very affordable gate and it really is a gate. I spent $42 from one of the most famous blast gate companies. They were impressive to look at from 10 feet. From 5 feet you began to doubt if they would work. I started to have doubts about my hands and when they were put into a vacuum system they didn't turn off properly. So they went in the trash as a learning experience. This gate stops 99.9% of the flow! This is exactly what we carpenters expect! We must not allow leaks everywhere to render our systems inefficient. That's all I'm going to buy from now on. I installed it on my crosscut station, table saw, router table and planer. I will NOT lose any valuable and expensive collecting opportunities through this gate! how long will they last I have no idea but I guarantee you they will last longer than those expensive blast gates that were so bad they went straight to the bin!
