Don't waste your money on an expensive spare wheel adapter. That will do.
Finding the best hook connection points is quite difficult. I wish they were a little bigger but they managed. So far, so good. The tire is heavier than stock and a little oversized, but this works great and keeps it secure. To have. It attaches directly to the roof rack, not the basket. I also have one of those bike cable locks that connect the rim directly to the basket, as a security measure but also in the worst case scenario of the straps breaking. Tested at 70 mph on freeways and some rough country roads. Didn't move
