These handles were just what we needed for our wooden basement stairs. I can't count the number of times people have almost fallen off these stairs because they are so slippery. My 3 year old cousin was too scared to go down alone. As soon as I installed them, the problem was solved immediately! Now we can normally walk down the stairs with or without socks. The only problem I have is that the glow in the dark part only really works on some lanes because each drop of light is too strong. I have a dehumidifier on the bottom platform of the stairs that has 2 digital numbers at the top and even that is way too much light. Other than that, I'm happy with my purchase.
