I really like my tulip hooks. I also love my ADDI Swing hooks, Tulip is my second hook, usually if the hooks I need to use aren't available in ADDI they are in Tulip. Tulip hooks have a comfortable grip and thumb rest. If the yarn/thread seems to pull on the hook, I wipe with a soft, dry cloth, then maybe a few strokes of wax paper and the yarn/thread slides very easily again. If the pen feels sticky, dirty or whatever due to sweaty hands, I wash it with a very small amount of Dawn dish soap and then let it dry completely in the hot sun.
