Review on Foldable Topside Automotive Engine Creeper - Traxion 3-100 For Easy Maintenance by David Cook

Revainrating 4 out of 5

One of my most used tools

First off, let me say, I really had to think whether to give this 4 or 5 stars. I would prefer to give this 4.5 stars. I have had my topside creeper now for just over a year. I use it all the time. If all you do is work on cars, you dont need one. However, I own an F350, and the wife drives a Tahoe. Now that I have it, I dont see how I made it this far through life without one. For doing anything under the hood, these are a must. Now with all that being said you would think I would give this product a glowing 5 review. However its build quality, sturdiness, and general design leave a bit to be desired. Mine was missing several bolts, (which was not an issue for me since I have a well stocked nut and bolt bin). Also, for someone like me, (250 lbs) it seems on the ragged edge of being sturdy enough, especially when you get to really reefing on bolts, or pulling on hoses. The other thing Im not a fan of is that it takes up a lot of real estate in my shop. When not in use, there is no nice, handy way to tuck it off in a corner. Luckily I have a pretty good sized shop, but for someone with limited space, this may be an issue. All and all, I think this is a great tool. However I also think there is a lot of room for improvement in design and build quality which is why I ultimately gave it a 4 rather than a 5.

Pros
  • Can support up to 400 pounds
Cons
  • May not be very durable in extreme weather conditions
