Review on 💧 Gates 22083 High-Performance Molded Coolant Hose by Andrew Agarwal

This fits my 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 5.9L V8 Gasoline. Cut about 3/4 inch from the water pump side should cut off a full inch. Then I also had to cut about 1/2 inch or so from the side of the heatsink, but I didn't. The hose appears to be too long and appears twisted during installation. I didn't save the inner spring because an instruction site recommends not letting the hose break. My reason was that the old spring was badly rusted and dirty, and also because I was able to trim the tube well enough not to kink under pressure. It's been in use for a few months now with no issues, so it's absolutely not Revain's fault for a slight fit imperfection, but perhaps Gates should refine it a little better? Perhaps the manufacturing tolerances have been relaxed a bit? I hope the hose lasts many years and I will forget I ever had trouble installing it.
