Review on πŸ“Ά ARRIS SURFboard SBG6400 Cable Modem and Wi-Fi Router - DOCSIS 3.0 - Retail Packaging - White - Fast Internet and Wireless Connectivity by Terrance Singletary

Revainrating 1 out of 5

First of all I live in the county and have a pretty good split between houses and almost 5 times a week.

Well I've had this modem for over 6 months now and as soon as I pay for my purchase with my rent savings it goes in the bin. Well first of all I live in the area and have pretty good separation between houses and from about 5 times a week to 5 times a day I have to manually switch channels because Arris is dodging traffic that gets lighter and weaker. (As discovered by the Arris tech support team I have to switch manually as auto-connecting to another wifi doesn't work) and I've also been told it's my cable company's fault that it's due to signal strength. although coincidentally my A 6 year old rental modem has never failed due to the same problem. But I digress, and the cable company installed a brand new tube from the pole to the house and plugged it back into the modem, and you know what? Waste of time The modem still does the same thing. The Wi-Fi power doesn't work in my house about 25 feet from the modem, but oddly I have no trouble connecting Wi-Fi 300 feet or more to turn off. Did I mention my shitty 6 year lease never got reset? And such a coup is that my cable company just upgraded us to 100 Mbps at no extra cost, and guess what, yes, the modem will only produce 66 Mbps over WiFi, but 112 Mbps over cable. 2 more months and pass money down the drain to a competitor
