Review on 🍳 T-fal Ingenio Expertise Nonstick Cookware Set - 3 Piece, Black Fry Pan by Mike Hernandez

There's something to love and something to hate about these pans

These pans have something to love and something to hate... T fal makes a good pan and I'm not arguing the construction itself is good built and distributes heat well. I liked the idea of the detachable handle and it saves a lot of space and is greatly appreciated by anyone living in a small kitchen with limited storage space. The red dot on the indicator lets you know your pan has been properly preheated and is working well before adding food. It can work on gas stove, electric stove, glass stove and induction stove. When folded and stored without a handle, they take up minimal space... Love it. That's what I hate, unless you buy a big set of 13 you don't get plastic lids and I don't see an option to buy them separately. Because the lid is attached to the rim of the pot, you can't put the lid on and make sure it's tight while the handle is attached. When the part of the handle that attaches to the pot gets dirty, it becomes very difficult for me to clean it. The way to use this set is to use the handle solely for stovetop installation, then detach and reattach it when you need to move it off the stovetop or into the oven. Anyone who is used to it and wants the handle to be attached when cooking will be annoyed. I really like the non-stick coating. In general, I like pans very much, I'm learning to cook efficiently on them and I don't get annoyed. But for someone in a small apartment with limited storage space, this set will be essential and much appreciated. That's why I only took off one star because overall I loved it a lot more than I hated it.

Pros
  • Good build
Cons
  • Almost everything is there
