Review on Crescent CGPS8PCSET Tools Multi Screwdrivers by Daniel Haddo

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best grip I have is better than Snapon, Craftsman, Wera etc.

Perfect grip. It has indentations to fit my fingers and palm and I feel like I have a better grip than any other pen I have (I gave my son my worn out Snapon, Master, etc.). The handle is also perfectly finished, unlike Artisan (countless imperfections I can feel) or Wera (a few petals, not bad). I just bought laser tip and diamond tip screwdrivers from wera and craftsman. While the Crescent was cheap, the hilts were more premium. The tips look perfectly formed and the diamond handle looks carefully plated. I now have three brands of diamond bits but haven't used them enough to form an opinion. My first impression is that the diamond bit tears fewer screws and doesn't wear out as quickly. Carbide tips grip better and scrape fewer screws than chrome-plated or titanium-coated tips. I'll have to test them side by side, but diamond has the potential for better grip than carbide. I saw a guy on YouTube cut off diamond tips for a handyman and proved they don't wear out like normal tips.

Pros
  • Diamond coated tips for improved torque and grip when tightening
Cons
  • Very expensive
