Review on Janlynn Embroidery 4 Inch Wildflowers Finches by Karla Richter

The colors are beautiful and I seem to have enough yarn to complete the set. However, I was disappointed that the "frames" were cheap plastic - thought I could use them as embroidery. Hoop to create these items. I thought they might be wooden or adjustable. When you finally finish your project, they want you to take card stock and cut it to the shape of the frame and then paste it in earnest on the back of the frame. In addition, the fabric consists of a single sheet. This is a problem because if I don't get a large embroidery hoop, the smaller hoop around one of the images will compress the fabric for the other images until I'm done with that. I can't just cut out the motifs and separate them because the instructions specifically forbid it, perhaps because the motifs are printed so closely together that they're afraid of fraying. In any case, I will. I still make this kit and I still love the colors. However, I was disappointed because I couldn't get started with it right away because I had to go out and buy a tire (thus defeating the purpose of online shopping to some extent).
