My old remote works pretty well but the previous owners didn't leave me the keyboard code. I was wanting to get a small jumper for keyboard programming from my old remote but decided on one so I also have a spare remote. My existing remote is an old style with a large oval button and a smaller button underneath. It took me a little time to connect the pins to the jumpers but once I followed the instructions they worked great. Similar keyboard programming experience. The keyboard had no tactile feedback that the pins were seated properly, but I eventually figured it out. The guide I found online worked. Connect a working remote control to the keyboard, press and hold the main button on the remote, then press Enter on the keyboard, your new 4-digit code and enter it. Wait for the keyboard light to start flashing and then you can release the remote button and it's set.
