Overheating caused the internal adhesive to melt

This adapter is cheaper than other similar adapters. Works functionally. However, it overheats to the point where it becomes too hot to touch. With less than 6 months of use, the adhesive inside the adapter has already melted and covered the tip of the USB-C power cable. I didn't realize it until my computer's battery died and the power cord was plugged into the adapter that powers the laptop.
