That's it. Yesterday I forgot that water boiled in it until it completely evaporated. Although the pan was very hot, there was no smell, apparently no chemicals. So I looked at it and it had dark spots on the bottom so I figured it was junk. I let it cool down a bit before throwing it in the trash so I decided to scratch one of the dark spots and to my surprise it just popped up. I then went and washed it with soap and warm water and in 5 minutes it looked brand new with a 100% non-stick surface intact. I've ruined at least two other very good ones by forgetting them, but somehow this one survived unscathed. A bit pricey but worth it in my opinion.
