This works great for my son. He is 3 years old and autistic. It was hard for us to walk all the way home after school and I got tired of carrying him three blocks home so I bought him his first bike. He hadn't quite mastered pedaling yet and still focused on steering first. This rod allows me to push him while he rides and also allows me to easily push him home after riding him in the morning and again when I need to pick him up. It was easy to install and overall perfect. I'm 4ft 11" and the handlebars allow me to push the bike without leaning forward, but I suspect a taller person might need to lean forward. But then again, it's perfect for me and I can't think of anything I would change!
