Not the best way to teach a child to ride

I don't think this is the best way to teach a child to ride. Unfortunately we waited too long to buy our daughter a balance bike (bicycle without pedals) which I think is the best way to teach her balance. With this pen I had to compensate for my daughter's lack of balance in a way that was awkward and uncomfortable for my daughter and ended up causing the pen to bounce back and forth where it didn't feel solid and I could stop to provide support. We put their training wheels back on and tookโ€ฆ

Fits too close to child seat

This handle helps with balance, but the yellow handle is too close (on some bikes it touches the child seat) and rubs against the rear/back when riding. Also, despite the easy assembly, no matter how tight I tighten this wing nut, it always wobbles a little. It's like the pads can't compress the seatstays properly to make them strong. I'm happy with that. Such tools are temporary anyway. But it does get in the way of my kids riding at times and just doesn't give me the "locked in" feeling thatโ€ฆ

Hard wearing and high quality

My son learned to ride a bike with this. It's not a flimsy pen, it's a sturdy, well-made, high-quality product. It has foam on the part that attaches to the bike to avoid scratching the bike. The grip on the handle is non-slip, the handle itself is thick, so it does not bend. This makes it easier to learn balance and also gives the rider the confidence to learn to ride a bike. This grip helps me not to wreck my back since I don't have to try to run next to a hunched rider. I can walk straightโ€ฆ

Exactly what I needed!

This works great for my son. He is 3 years old and autistic. It was hard for us to walk all the way home after school and I got tired of carrying him three blocks home so I bought him his first bike. He hadn't quite mastered pedaling yet and still focused on steering first. This rod allows me to push him while he rides and also allows me to easily push him home after riding him in the morning and again when I need to pick him up. It was easy to install and overall perfect. I'm 4ft 11" and theโ€ฆ

game changer! for baby accessories

Our child was caught between training wheels and solo riding. Our backs only hurt when we bent over and held the seat. My husband is 6ft 4", I am 5ft 3" and our child is 8 years old. It fits on the back of the bike very easily and securely. It makes it easy to help baby balance, guide a little, and grip tightly to prevent them from falling from side to side. As baby gets better, it's easy to walk alongside and just touch the handle to keep things upright when baby wobbles. The handle does notโ€ฆ

Great trainer!

My 2.5 year old daughter really wanted a big bike for a girl but she couldn't ride and steer it herself and of course she didn't like it when I held her bike and steered her like I did needed something to control her with but made her feel in control and this coach pen was perfect! It was very easy to install and appears to be very durable. I'm about 5'4" and the length of the handle is pretty comfortable but does require me to bend over a bit. The only thing I don't like about this product isโ€ฆ
