looks very heavy. You have to play with the button to open and close it. I don't see anyone breaking it that easily. Update 3/12/15 during the sloppy cold vis. well kept outside on a closed trailer 7x12 in winter. opened the ceremony at -12 degrees day. no rust problems. The locks are used on the tailgate, which is exposed to the elements 24/7. In this case, you get what you pay for. Normally I'm not impressed by German technology, ie electrics and cars. satisfied with the product.
