They are called "bee guards" but they don't repel bees as you can see in my photo. These are only replacement parts for some models of this feeder. I bought these thinking they would be somehow different than the guards that came with the Perky Pet Hummingbird Feeder, but they are not. The problem I see is that bees are attracted to the color yellow. why don't you make them red Red appears dark or even black to the bees. dark objects are considered a threat to bees, so maybe it could work if they were a different color, such as black. Bread. Now I paint my bee shields red. If it works I will update this review. You should only replace the original guards if they break. they work great for it.
