Review on πŸš— Husky Liners Rear Wheel Well Guards for 2006-2014 Ford F-150 - Black, Model 79101 by Chris Kirby

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The installation is not what is advertised.

2014 STX. They don't assemble like Husky's video and Revane's description says. It's not nearly as easy as advertising. According to the written instructions included, only four 1/8" holes are required, two on each side. In addition, they are only installed in one place below and not in three, as in the video. The lower front just tucks into the edge of the wheel arch and isn't attached to anything. I hate drilling holes in the sheet metal on the outside of the car. You have now created a spot of rust on bare metal if you don't take steps to protect the drilled holes. The standard 20-inch wheels were also difficult to drill and mount, especially at the rear. If I had to rebuild I would remove the wheel and remove the tire. On one of the bushings, a marked and drilled hole (A in the instructions) was inserted farther than the U-clamp could reach when installed, and a new hole had to be drilled through the U-clamp, being slightly smaller than 1/4th .

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • High price
