Wonderful yarn. Once you start using alpaca yarn all other yarns take a turn for the worse lol. In fact, I knit for many Christmas gifts each year for everyone on my list and the alpaca is just incredibly soft. This year I found this alpaca at a great price, I'm used to paying a lot more. But the quality is amazing. So soft it doesn't itch at all. I didn't have any knots or links in the strands I used and I will be using skein 9. This yarn is even as there are no fine or uneven spots in the ball. And like I said, worsted and I crochet all these gauntlets in 5mm and am happy with that. With any project, make sure you try to estimate how much yarn your project will need. For reference, I can crochet four full leg warmers using three skeins of this yarn on a 5mm crochet hook and have some yarn left over. They are 19 inches long and about four inches wide. Overall this is the best yarn in terms of price and quality. So soft and luxurious.
