Lamp holder glued between carpet and tank. The bottom screw that holds the stand in place does not sit flush so this is clearly not a quality product made to high standards. It gets the job done, though, as long as you don't place the underside of the stand on a hard, flat surface that you care about - think of a slightly protruding protrusion in the middle. The top L piece can be tucked away to add length or height which is nice. This device serves its purpose. I would advise any pet owner to use a zip tie or similar for cords instead of or in addition to the zip ties you get in the kit. The swivel zip ties they give you to manage the wires are good, but I try to be extra cautious in case our turtle causes unforeseen problems or I do something stupid - both of which happen regularly. 😅Overall I may or may not buy again but I have a hard time finding a better product that works elsewhere. The thick rug underneath this unit protects my floor and makes a protruding screw head an acceptable fault.
