Review on Legend Cast Iron Griddle Pre Seasoned by Troy Meza

I love the end result of cooking with cast iron and this is a really good quality cast iron skillet. I have to laugh at a review that said it was "too heavy". because it's cast iron. I would definitely think something is wrong when it's light. The included cleaning instructions are geared more towards taking care of the pan - for example, it states that the key to a good seasoning is polishing, which makes sense with plaster of Paris. Iron pan, but not for grilling. Getting in between each grate with a thin layer of oil and "polishing" it is much more difficult than oiling a pan. Still, it's worth the effort to get the end result with perfect grill marks and flavor. It's also worth noting that this pan is too wide to be used on a long 5th burner. This is intended more for use on two adjacent burners. Using this on the 5th burner in the center of your stove leaves no room on the stove for anything else. I was obviously unclear when I bought it, but that was my mistake. I still love this shop.
