Review on Enhance Your Floating Wood Shelves with BATODA Floating Shelf Brackets – Strong πŸ”§ & Hidden Supports for Thin Shelves – Includes Screws and Wall Plugs (8 pcs Hardened) by Willie Midkiff

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works as expected and desired. I did it that way.

(1) Two bolts found and holes drilled. (2) Very, very carefully, mark the edge of the shelf with the location of the drilled holes. (3) Screw these shelf brackets to the pre-drilled wall studs. I had to use pliers to twist the staples. (4) Using the alignment marks on the wall studs, very carefully drill holes in the edge of the shelf. (NOTE: The recommended diameter of 27/64 would be too large and awkward to drill without preparation. Started with a more precise and controllable small drill and increased until the 24/64 drill was just a slight increase in diameter. Worked like a charm.) (4) Painted the shelf, being careful not to get paint in the newly drilled holes. (5) When the paint dried, the shelf slid right onto the pins. Smoothly and without incident. The shelf is stable for my purposes. Although for heavy loads I would still use corner brackets for stud shelving.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Poorly thought out
