Failed to load media. I have used several pocket sharpeners and this is by far the simplest and easiest to use. Of the small sharpeners I've used, this one is my favorite. The other one I used seemed poorly constructed because I kept putting my fingers under the blade as I moved it through the device. This one purposely keeps your fingers out of the way. The one I don't really like, if you want to see it, is here: Smiths PP1 Pocket Pal multifunction sharpener. I carry it with me to work so I can always touch up the blade or install a new blade. It's so easy to slip into your pocket. Please note that the carbide side of the tool will rip off small metal fragments, so do not sharpen on food or anything similar; The ceramic side sets a sharpened, clean edge. I've used it a few times on my scythes, but I find it perfect for sharpening pocket knives, machetes, and other knives. I wouldn't use it on an ax or ax for example as the blades are too wide and big.
