Ideal for providing power over a standard Ethernet cable. 12V 1 amp power supply included. I used my own 12V 1.5A power supply and it works fine. Depending on how far you need to run the cable, you may need additional amperage to compensate for the power loss. The main downside is that the Ethernet ports in the adapters are only two pairs, so I'm only getting 100Mbps half-duplex. This equates to speeds in the 5-6 Mbps range. If your application doesn't require a lot of bandwidth, this shouldn't be a problem. For this reason I give four stars.
