Working.: Parts

Okay, I hate that Revain doesn't list a country of origin. For you wondering, like most Dormans products, it's made in China. This product is a worthy replacement for the OEM grip that tends to break at the end of the cable. The Dorman product is almost identical to the original, even the markings on the back of the handle. I put this on a 2002 GMC Sierra 1500, the faceplate pattern is almost the same as my '05 Silverado but different from the Sierra. However, if this bothers you, you can easily unplug the cable from the new one and attach it to the old handle mechanism by pressing the two tabs on the handle end of the cable clamp. That is, if your pin itself isn't broken. Another difference I noticed was that the handle is slightly more curved than the original and looks more like a hook. The graphics are poorly drawn, but this does not affect the performance. Product. The metal of the bracket is much weaker than the original and bends easily. When installing, make sure the metal tab sticking out at the top is oriented correctly, otherwise just bend it by hand. In general, this version installs and works the same as the original, the cable length and metal bracket size are the same as the original. Great value for money in my opinion, and if it doesn't work, guess what? It is backed by a Dorman Lifetime Warranty.
