Crescent is known to be a decent brand and this 84 piece set lives up to my expectation of quality. There is a good assortment of sockets and allen wrenches if you are a beginner or novice like myself. Even as a novice though, I do wish this basic set came with some kind of pliers. That is a basic tool one would expect in a basic mechanics set. If you already have pliers and wrenches and just mostly need sockets, this is a good buy. But, for a few bucks more it might be better to go for the 148 piece set.
