Review on Efficient Oil Extractor: Stens 051-703 - Simplify Oil Changes and Maintenance by Cody Stroop

Used this to change the gear oil on my van. After readjusting the tightness of various plastic fittings to prevent vacuum leaks, it worked well, if a little slowly. (It took 15 minutes to pump six liters out of the cold (70* Fahrenheit) transmission.) With a simple assembly and about thirty crank strokes, I set the unit on the ground to allow gravity to suck it in. I used my transmission's feeler gauge and sharpie marker to mark the length of pipe it took to reach the liquid inside. The device didn't break down on its own and it was a clean procedure, but I wish its greenish plastic was more transparent so it's easier to see how much liquid was sucked into it. I carefully and easily poured the drained liquid into a container for disposal. I would recommend this tool to other users who prefer not to jack up their cars or lay on the ground to drain the oil.
