Make sure you flare the end of the suction tube you are connecting to!
I installed this pump on a new gear unit by cutting the pipe on the direct outlet. However, I forgot to flare the end of the pipe and the pressure from the pump caused the hose to slip off the pipe. This should be fairly easy to fix by pulling out the device and expanding the tube. My only request would be that longer wires be provided on the wiring harness to allow it to fully exit the tank before a connection needs to be made.
