Update - April 2020 - My second batch of blades didn't last nearly as well as the first. I've already snapped 2 out of 3 blades and spent less than an hour on them altogether. I cut 2" square tubes using 1/4" 3/8" hot rolled sheet metal and 1/4" hot rolled sheet metal. The blades cut well, but the welds don't hold up well on thicker cuts. -2 stars. I use them (8/11 pitch) on a portable HF band that I built a base for. I use it as a small band saw to cut various A36 steels (C section, angle steel, square tube etc.) for various welding projects in my workshop at home. The blade worked very well. Much faster and cleaner than a cut-off wheel and I don't have to breathe in any grinding dust. 0 I didn't like cutting 3/4 inch thick 1045 slabs but it was too much. It handles hot and cold rolls from 3/16" to 1/2" quite well. It probably works well with thinner material too, you just have to be smart about how you feed it so it doesn't snag and pull out a tooth. You can also use a finer gauge blade for this. At the moment I've built a three-point boom that carries a glide attachment, forks for that attachment, some logging tongs and a quick-change system for the loader bucket, and I'm still using the first blade.
