The sizes are deceiving so be careful.
I purchased a 26" collar to use as a replacement for our GSD main collar. The primary collar was not working. The length shown is measured ring edge to ring edge, however for these collars the length needed to determine fit is the length of the chain (excluding rings). As I needed them to fit her tall and 26 inch size. Largest size available, I am returning the product. From the looks of the collar alone it seems sturdy and strong (untested) - I'd trust it to handle our 120lb GSD. I recommend subtracting about 3 inches from the listing length when sizing for your dog.
