Review on FireServiceRota by Jeff Callier

I like how it allows you to use different methods of calculating schedules as well as being able to pull data from your fire engine with ease. It can get clunky sometimes if there are too many devices connected at once which causes an unresponsiveness when trying to perform certain tasks/changes. Have someone who knows what they're doing set this up - our IT department didn't know enough about these types of platforms to do it properly! Using Rota we were able to easily update shifts and make sure that everyone was scheduled correctly without having to worry about manually changing them in a spreadsheet or not knowing exactly where we stood each month. I like that it has an easy to use interface. The program works well but sometimes it takes too long to load when you first open up the software. This can be frustrating if there are multiple users in your department at one time. Also some of the features aren't as intuitive as they could be. It's not perfect by any means, but we've been able to make good progress with our organization using this product. We have improved our dispatch capabilities which allows us to better respond to calls quickly.
