Bought for a DVR. Works great! I connected it to a 12v switch (with key) and it will turn the dashcam on and off with my key. works great so far. I will update the information if this causes any problems or issues in the future. Simple installation step: - Find 12V with a wrench and pull a small wire through to the ceiling (behind the ceiling panel) - Find ground and also reach the ceiling - Solder 12V and ground. for the appropriate solder points on the USB power supply - cover the entire assembly with heat shrink tubing (I made two covers for better insulation) - connect the USB to the mini USB cable and connect to the dashcam - presto! TA Dah! Did! Very easy!
