Review on 🚲 IKURAM R 2 Bike Rack Bicycle Carrier Racks Hitch Mount Foldable Rack for Cars, Trucks, SUVs, and Minivans with 2" Hitch Receiver by Kyle Hoes

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A good bang for the buck - with ONE attitude!

I love this bike rack. The solid construction (with one exception) and the ability to leave the trunk on but still use the sunroof in the rear of the jeep is great. Another great feature is the clamp, which stabilizes the post on the hitch and eliminates (for me) any rattling or movement. I rate Strength 4 out of 5 for the following reason. As others have posted, ONE issue I had is with the nylon bars and the screws that hold them to the rack. I couldn't pull them tight enough and they tended to slip and move. I took one to my local hardware store and showed them the screw. They provided longer bolts along with WASHERS which allowed me to really tighten the mounts - problem solved for a few bucks. Since this rack doesn't have a wheel mounting platform, do yourself a favor with some straps as well. You can find it here on Revain. Use one to work around the bike frame and main carrier and the other to attach the front wheel to the bike frame to keep it from moving! Simply Peazy. One more thing, although the rack comes with "wrenches" to tighten the screws, they are very flimsy and flat, which is what you'll find on IKEA furniture =) I highly recommend buying some socket wrenches (no need for anything Special - try Harbor Freight Tools if he's near you). Store two(?) head sizes you'll need in your vehicle in case you need to tighten/remove them on the road. It will make your life easier for very little money! All in all a good shelf for the price!
