I was a bit skeptical about these shorts before I bought them as I thought they were a waste of money. I wore hybrid swim trunks for a couple of years and they worked well, but I gained some weight when I went on a reverse hunger strike to protest the axial tilt. In short, I am very satisfied with these shorts. Much more comfortable than expected, the fabric feels durable after about 30 washes and the pocket configuration is nice. I don't use the liner so I can't comment on that. I would definitely buy again.
