I needed to replace the bearings on my 2007 Jeep Compass. These were original knuckles/bearings with 170,000 miles/14 years. I expected them to be difficult to remove from the CV axis splines. I also live in upstate New York where there is salt 3/4 of the year. This tool made it a cake! I removed the knuckles with a 1/2" ratchet - I didn't need a punch or demolition hammer! Watching a rusty CV fly right out of the knuckle was actually a fun tool. The hardest part of the whole job was carefully removing it the ABS sensors from the old knuckles. I am very very very pleased. This $36 tool saved me about $800-$1000 in labor for both sides. For those working on a 2007-2011 Jeep Compass, the CV castellated nut is 32mm and should be backed off to 181ft/lbs I'm very happy again OTC is doing VERY good things!
