Review on Küchenprofi 18/10 Stainless Steel Funnel with Filter: Efficient Kitchen Must-Have! by Sam Goff

I used to cook my own lard and needed a metal or high-temperature funnel to pour it from a saucepan into a glass jar. I saw that for a few bucks I could get more cake pro with filter so I decided to give it a try. The mesh openings in the filter are small and don't look as small as a metal coffee filter, but the grease comes out just as clean, so it seems to be doing its job well. Overall, the funnel is well made and looks solid. . The filter is a loose, snug fit and sits in the cone shaped portion of the funnel mouth so it does not move when liquid is poured into the funnel. I have only used the funnel to fill stone jars and it sits perfectly stable in the jars. (I think it's just enough weight and width to keep it from moving at the slightest pressure, like a super thin and tall funnel.) The screen's surface area is large enough that I didn't have any trouble securing or in deflate at a tiresome pace. As other reviewers have noted, everything about it is high quality: the handle is nice, it has some weight and thickness, the funnel and filter are easy to clean, the filter isn't very delicate, etc. Overall, it's worth it . That? Unless you use the hopper many times a year or are interested in canning, I would say no. If you're like me and the bad tools you use often annoy you when they don't work, spend a few bucks more on it. (I also like the fact that it's made in Germany and not China. I'd prefer the US, but Europe will do.)
