My truck broke down due to a 100% clogged DPF causing the turbo pipe to burst. The dealer blamed the MAF sensor contaminated with oil on that filter. K&N has a website that says this is a lie, and I believe it's probably true. The problem is that the dealer doesn't want to do warranty work and will blame anything they can for the problems as long as they don't. I tried contacting GM and they told me it's up to the dealers to decide if this is covered under warranty. I asked the boss who told me the same thing and said I have no way of appealing about this outside of the dealership. I know these are all complaints about GM dealers, not K&N, but that doesn't mean K&N warranty work if the dealer blames their filter. If you use this filter, save the old, semi-used OEM filter and replace it before taking the truck to the dealer for service. I also recommend watching comparison videos on YouTube. All show that the K&N filter lets through more fine particles that are really harmful to the turbines and the engine.
