Review on eTORK 3/8-Inch Drive "Click Style" Electronic Torque Wrench: Precise Torque Control (25-250 In. lbs., 2-20 ft.-lb.) by Ameer Kobblewood

Defective - I recommend ACDelco instead

I have purchased eTORK 3/8" and 1/2" digital torque wrenches. I read the instructions and then started using the tool. I quickly found that I couldn't set the wrenches for minimum or maximum torque. The minimum value was too high and the maximum value too low (compared to the specified min/max torque). This rendered the tools unusable. I can't speak to any of the features of this tool as I haven't even been able to use it. I ended up with an ACDelco 3/8" digital torque wrench from Revain and a Quinn 1/2" digital torque wrench from Harbor Freight. . If you need a 3/8" torque wrench, I recommend an ACDelco wrench; The only downside is that the batteries run out pretty quickly and you have to take them out after each use or they'll be weak/dead next time. use it. Also, the screen is a little hard to read when you're in a dimly lit room, but it can be dealt with. An ACDelco 1/2" wrench is probably just as good, although I haven't tried it, got it instead of Quinn. The 1/2" Quinn I got from HF works fine too. HF has a bad reputation online but has rarely let me down. I've also heard that Quinn's digital torque adapter is very accurate, so I assumed their torque wrench was probably accurate as well.

Pros
  • Wrench clicks and/or releases when torque is reached
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other picks
