Block most Light but Expected it to be a bit thicker/Better at Insulating

I got these curtains to keep my room dark at night and insulate my room from sun/heat during the day.
Was mostly satisfied with light blocking but some light did still get in around the edges of my window.In terms of thickness/insulation I expected them to be thicker and block out more heat than before but I found they were about the same as my other curtains before.If considering make sure the measurements are exactly right to block light and know that if trying to block heat from the sun, they may not adequate in very warm climates (I live in Texas!)

Pros

They are a little heavy which is good they really work exceeded my expectations

Cons

May wrinkle easily: The linen fabric used for the curtains may wrinkle easily, which could detract from their overall appearance

They are pretty good seem to help keeping the warmth in however I do think that the sizing is not correct they seem a little shorter then they should be
