Review on πŸ“€ Samsung BD-J5700 Curved Blu-ray Player with Wi-Fi (2015 Model): The Ultimate Home Entertainment Solution by Matthew Guiney

Revainrating 2 out of 5

This works fine for me, but it might be a bootleg.

I have had the same Samsung (AK59-00149A) for over six years now and have never had a problem with it. This is my second one now, works great. Looking at the reviews that there is no light in the front doesn't bother me. If the tray is open, click "Turn Off" and it will also turn off. I've noticed that if the tray is open for more than five minutes without a DVD, it will turn off and on again. It's small and doesn't take up much space, it also plays pre-recorded CDs, I use a Sony soundbar and the sound is very good. Very good picture quality and 4-5 built-in apps that work on a Wi-Fi connected non-smart TV, but I don't use the apps just to play Blu-ray DVDs and CDs. and I noticed that it didn't have (samsung) on it like my first one like my old ak59 samsung remote control. There are original AK59 numbers on the remote control. Remotes of the same size (Samsung) are on top of the Blu-ray player. The remote control is very comfortable to use, pause, slow mode, fast forward, everything works very well. The remote control of my first Samsung Blu-ray player says "Made in Indonesia" on the back and is a bit heavier. Made in China is written on the back. Could this be a fake Samsung Blu-ray player? I do not know. Came with an HDMI cable. It arrived in excellent condition, like new.

Pros
  • I/O: 1 HDMI, 1 USB, 1 Ethernet, 1 HDMI-CEC
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
