Review on Dorman 38448 Door Striker Bolt by Jared Surabhi

For a company that positions itself as a supplier of quality products and with all the negative reviews that the plastic sleeve is too big (I think I was hoping mine would be different ) , I thought Dorman would fix it and send the correct size bushing. What should have been a five minute job took over an hour to put on, take off, sand down, reattach and repeat. And I still have to slam the door to make it click and pull hard to open the door because I had to stop when it started raining. Hopefully the remaining grooves will deepen over time and not weaken the plastic. Unforgivably poor quality control. And all I really had to replace was the smelly plastic bushing! Thanks to those who recommended marking the firing pin contour before removal, but after cleaning the area before removal, the dirt under the firing pin also gave a contour.
