First purchase "used as new" at half the price. About $35. And it was in great shape! Second, I make a living from airing, so airing won't be a problem, and the electrics aren't bad either. I had to lay cables in the attic, I did all that only with ventilation. Third, the noise level isn't quiet at altitude, but is it so loud that you can't speak? no Maybe Broan changed something, maybe other reviewers have ventilation issues (that's my guess). My ventilation was very short. About 4 feet with a 6 in. 90. And out the wall. If that helps anyone. My final and only real complaint was the damper. Sometimes it didn't open all the way. Which actually made it quieter, but the flaps on the vent didn't open. So I pulled out the fan and removed the damper. Hope mother-in-law is happy! We'll find out later today.
