The tool works and would be more ideal for making valve springs with the cylinder head removed from the engine. In my case I'm making valve springs with heads in a truck. The problem was that there wasn't enough room on my 2010 Tahoe to use this tool. Cannot be used on cylinders 6, 7 and 8 where you will sit under the hood and have to work around air conditioning components (cylinders 6/8). I also had to mill the tool because there wasn't enough clearance to install the valve spring retainers. .It works, yes. You have to decide for yourself whether this is ideal for your application and work.
