I sanded a large wooden deck and it took forever as I did it by hand with an orbital sander with Ace 60 grade sandpaper. I ordered these 40 grit discs from Revain and the OMG was a few years lighter. I quickly sailed through the rest of this project. In some places there were knotholes that protruded above the surface of the deck. I quickly sanded them smooth so there was no risk of tripping. Some of the boards felt a little concave and the ends protruded slightly, which was another tripping hazard, but they chipped quickly from the 40 grit. The entire deck surface was now almost bare. The end result was a very smooth cohesive look and it was great when painted. Needless to say, I am keeping them in my arsenal for future projects. Oh, by the way, I forgot to mention I'm 80. If I can do it, then surely you can.
