Review on 💻 Legrand Home Office & Theater Network Interface Module 8 Port AC1058 - Cat 5e Solution by Steve Collins

I was a big fan of this module and was hoping that replacing it with an existing telecoms module in the mounting panel would make my wired ethernet ports work throughout the house and it was correct . . Anyway, after I removed the old module with a punch to connect the existing wires to this new module, I really hoped I did everything right. As it turned out, that was mostly it. After plugging in an ethernet switch, my most coveted ethernet port worked in the wall outlet below. Success! And it ran at 500 Mbps (the speed I pay for). The other outlet worked as well, but only at 80Mbps, so I'll have to double-check the wiring as it may not be properly connected to the wall (A vs. B). In any case, you just have to hope that the existing cabling infrastructure is good wherever you install this module, as there are many variables that can affect speed/performance. One final note, this module fits perfectly in my existing OnQ panel box and the plastic tabs match the holes, no problem. It was an exact replacement for the old (non-working) communications module.
