Review on JDMSPEED Universal Electric Regulator Conversion by David Burns

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Don't be fooled by the bad reviews

I read the reviews before buying and decided to go with it anyway. Stripping plastic adapters and burning and melting electrical cords have been mentioned in some reviews. My experience with these problems is as follows; Remove adapters - when I was trying to use the tightest, tightest adapters and had raised and lowered the windows several times and at the end of the window stroke the motor kept turning when the crank couldn't turn anymore because the window was either all the way down up or all the way down and finally remove the adapter that fits on the window handle. The solution is to use the most suitable adapter, one that you don't have to press, that has very little play on the window handle, the window moves up and down smoothly and stops in the maximum up or down position. Burning Wires. When I installed power windows I checked them from time to time throughout the process, I had the ground wire connected and was holding the positive wire with my fingers to operate the window. While doing this I could feel the wire getting hot so I looked around to see what was causing it, then I noticed the wires to the other window were not yet connected and were touching, I disconnected those wires and insulated them and tried again and the wires stopped basking. It could also be because the installer didn't pay attention to the 2 brown wires in the harness, one of the brown wires has a red stripe on it, it's easy to miss and connect to the wrong position in the connector if you're not careful. I really like it and my advice to anyone about to install one of these is take your time take your time, this is a versatile kit and installations vary in ease, time and skill. Plumber.
